About the Author:
W. H. Harrison is one of England’s most renowned, though underrated novelists. Born in 1805, Harrison intended to be a lawyer but found writing to be his true calling. After publishing his novel Rookwood in 1834, Ainsworth embarked on a lengthy and successful career writing until his death in 1882. Some of his most famous novels include The Tower of London, Guy Fawkes, Windsor Castle, The Miser’s Daughter, and The Lancashire Witches.
